About
Disc golf, also known as frisbee golf, is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target, called the basket. The aim is to through the disc into the basket in as little as possible throws from the tee.
The first known instance of anyone playing golf with a flying disc occurred in 1926. A group of school age kids played a game with tin lids, which they dubbed Tin Lid Golf. They played on a fairly regular basis on a disc golf course they laid out on their school ground.
The popularity of disc golf has recently grown with unparalleled rapidity with some saying that the game grew grew too fast to call it a evolution: they call it a revolution.
